Group Installation Engineer

Radio Links Communications are part of the established and growing Brentwood Communications Group, with offices in Chelmsford, Ireland, Southampton and St. Neots. Over the past 45 years we have grown to become a market leader in the communications.

We are looking for people who are team players and keen to liaise with customers, external or internal. Attitude to life is so important and we want you to bring that great attitude to your role - show the world how fantastic you are! You must have a proactive and outgoing approach to your work.

Radio and/or Audio experience is required, and experience of carrying out installations in a professional manner will be beneficial.

This is a key role and you will be strengthening current requirements.

You will:

  • Visit customer sites to conduct surveys of the sites
  • Carry out audio installation for mainly outdoor events, such as sporting events
  • Carry out radio installation, mainly in commercial properties, fixing aerials and repeaters
  • Reprogram radios at customer sites
  • Liaise with customers on their requirements
  • Be confident in working at Heights.

A full Driving License required (max 3 point) as you may be required to drive a company van to various venues.

During busy periods you may be required to work additional hours/days.

Salary: £23,000 - £29,000 p/a

Engineer for work on Super Yachts

Radio Links Communications are part of the established and growing Brentwood Communications Group, with offices in Chelmsford, Ireland, Southampton and Cambridgeshire.

Over the past 45 years we have grown to become a market leader in providing solutions to radio communication.

We are looking for a telecommunications engineer with the aspiration to work on Super Yachts across the world. You will need to be able to work oversees for periods from a couple of days to a few weeks - one week you may be working in Cannes, the next you may be in Miami.

About you:

You may be an ex Sky or BT Installer, looking for a more exciting role. Ideally you will have RF (two way radio) experience but if not, you will be provided with full training, which may take up to 18 months to complete, to ensure sure you operate proficiently in high profile environments. You will know RF, be experienced and competent at UK land based installations, before you are tasked to work on our high profile multimillion pound Super Yachts.

Ideally you will have experience with Cable and Antenna installations, keen to learn and be willing to work diligently. We will provide all the training necessary to enable you to assume responsibility for your own development.

Temporary Event Support

Radio Links Communications are part of the established and growing Brentwood Communications Group, with offices in Chelmsford, Ireland, Southampton and Cambridgeshire.

We are looking for someone who can provide temporary support for the Event, Hire & Sales divisions.

Main Duties include:

  • To provide technical assistance/services to Special Events as required.
  • Attendance at Special Events, as required.
  • To give support to Event Engineers at Special Events, when required
  • Ensure information gained from events is correctly recorded and filed for fUture use
  • Ensure serviceability and good condition/care of equipment.
  • Delivery/collection/installation of equipment for Hire/Sales and Service, as and when required.
  • Assist in Stores/Despatch, as and when necessary.
  • To provide support to other departments within the Group of Companies as required.
  • Ensure the Company's quality Standards and Procedures, within the areas of responsibility, are upheld.
  • Ensure the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Procedures are always complied with.
  • Follow the Company's Quality Procedures.
  • Additional tasks as required by management, subject to ability/qualification.

Requirements:

There maybe travelling abroad (Europe) involved, so an up-to-date passport would be required. 

Valid driving licence will be required.

Logistics Warehouse Assistant 

Radio Links Communications are part of the established and growing Brentwood Communications Group, with offices in Chelmsford, Ireland, Southampton and Cambridgeshire.

Over the past 45 years we have grown to become a market leader in providing solutions to radio communication.

We are looking for a Sales & Hire Logistics Assistant to join our team and help manage the flow of goods and materials across the business.

Main Duties include:

  • To assist with all inbound items/shipments, ensuring that they are seen in within 24 hours.

  • To assist with allocating stock to the correct inventory locations.

  • To assist with preparing, picking & processing stock for Sale & Hire Orders. Including preparing Radios for Hire, cleaning Radios when they’re returned from Hire. Liaising with the Sales Team regarding lost & damaged Radios. Covering the Hire & Sale Logistics departments as and when necessary.

  • To assist with the management of packaging materials, ensuring items are kept replenished.

  • To assist with monthly stock takes and maintain a high level of accuracy.

  • To assist the Radio Programmer (as and when required) with basic programming of Radios. Additional training to be provided for this.

  • To assist with keeping the working area (Goods In & Out) clean & tidy to avoid hazards.

  • To assist with checking courier manifests at the end of the day and ensuring all parcels are sent daily.

Requirements:

  • The job is physically demanding so a capable candidate will be required for heavy lifting
  • Attention to detail is required
